First edition. From Robert Morden's uncommon pocket Atlas Geography Rectified [London 1680]. Detailed miniature map of Japan and Hokkaido, the outline of Japan modelled on the earlier Blaeu-Martini map [1655] and the northern islands based on the outline of De Vries' Dutch surveys 1643-44 and showing Jesso as joined to the East Asian mainland which is shown extending from the Korean peninsula in a long arc to the north of Honshu [supplied with copy of the accompanying Atlas text].
