Uncommon English plan of Tokyo taken from the earlier European models of Kaempfer and Charlevoix but here lacking any of the annotations and details. The grounds of the Imperial Palace and the Shinobazu Pond in Ueno are visible centrally. Attractive title cartouche lower right. [Supplied with the accompanying text describing the City taken from the Atlas]
